Car repair took longer than expected but they offered me a loaner car for the weekend immediately. Repairs completed on Monday as promised. Excellent job. Very friendly and helpful employees. Will definitely be going back!

I was supposed to be entertaining a guest the end of last week when my car started making a terrible grinding noise. Worried about the car and my plans to take my guest to the coast that next day, I brought the car to Tigard SUV right away the next morning. I didn't have an appointment, but as soon as I explained the situation, the folks at the front desk assured me that they could get the car looked at and even said they would try to hurry due to my plans. I was called with a "diagnosis" and game plan by mid morning, and by 12:15pm they called and said they were done with the repairs, and hoped I could still make it out to the coast! I was so impressed with their professionalism as well as their concern for me and my life. This has been a consistent experience with this company for years now. I would definitely recommend them for their customer service, their willingness to explain the repairs and costs thoroughly, their professionalism, as well as their willingness to fit in emergencies (it may not have been a full on emergency to anyone else, but it was to me!)

Great shop.. quality work.. and very thorough... They will tell you exactly what is going on with your vehicle & not try to sell you some service or part that you don't need. Very honest mechanics!! Definitely recommend this place.

Really unhappy with both the work quality and integrity of this shop. Regarding quality: My truck was not driving well, and I brought it to Tigard SUV and Auto for repair. Unfortunately, after they reportedly fixed the problem, I still noticed the same issue. I had another shop check the truck, who confirmed the problem was not fixed. I then brought the truck back to Tigard SUV and Auto, only to be told there was no issue (by Dan, the owner), but they would "check" the problem again. After this, they made adjustments and the problem was fixed. Regarding integrity: I realize no one is perfect, and shops make mistakes. However, instead of apologizing for not fixing the problem the first time, and my inconvenience of having to bring the truck back, the manager (Chris) became upset at me. He was not happy because I had another shop check the truck, and he blamed me for inconveniencing his shop to check the truck again. He said there was no problem because they are skilled ASE technicians. Evidently his ASE technicians are always right in this shop's mind, which shows poor integrity and leaves the customer vulnerable. I cannot trust a shop that does not listen to customer concerns, and cannot admit a mistake or oversight, and instead misdirects blame to the customer.

We've reviewed our records and memories and can't recall this particular vehicle or customer. Perhaps if we had more information we could. The last thing we want to do is be combative with a customer or say they're mistaken about a problem with their vehicle. If you examine our previous reviews you'll see we go to great lengths to satisfy our customers needs and in rare cases have refunded money to ensure their happiness. In the end it sounds like the vehicles problem was resolved and that's what we strive for everyday.

You'll save money in the long run. They'll get the diagnosis right and fix the problems that need fixing. Don't waste your money someplace else that promises low rates. If you do you will probably spend more going back multiple times as they 'fix' rather than diagnose your actual problem.

I've gone to Tigard SUV for 11 of the 15 years that I've owned my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero. Fondly called "The Beast", the Montero had a check up this past week at over 216,000 miles. Dan, Bobby and crew have babied "The Beast" through thick and thin, repairing its aches and squeaks, soothing the tired joints and keeping it in running shape. This has always been done with integrity, honesty and transparency only with what needed to be done. Unfortunately, it was determined that "The Beast" is on its last legs and that there will be no heroic service measures taken. Whatever final outcome and whatever replaces my trusty Beast, you can be sure that any "check ups" will be done by Tigard SUV.
